Hi everyone and welcome! I am Lizzie, a marriage and family therapist intern working toward licensure. I was born and raised in Sioux Falls, then moved to Nebraska to complete my undergraduate from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I obtained a BS in Child, Youth, and Family Studies from the university in 2021. I went on to continue my education through Abilene Christian University and graduated with a Master of Marriage and Family Therapy in 2024. I was a student intern at Stronghold Counseling prior to graduation, and I am excited to be back and working on the path toward licensure.

I am passionate about working with individuals, couples, and families to create a connection with themselves and others on their journey. I believe that relationships hold the power to help us continually explore and find belonging in the world around us. The areas that I may address with individuals and couples include anxiety, depression, trauma, communication issues, relational issues, attachment issues, and addiction.

Whether you enter therapy for a particular issue, a desire to explore and understand your identity, or create more connection, I am here to meet you where you are and walk that journey with you. I approach therapy through a compassionate and client-centered stance, along with integration of evidence-based therapeutic practices. My goal and commitment is to foster a safe and non-judgmental space where individuals can create lasting change.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time exercising, whether it’s taking fitness classes, going on walks outside, or running. I also enjoy reading, spending time with family & friends, learning new hobbies, and continuing my professional development. I look forward to working with you in the future!
