I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as a Counselor with Stronghold Counseling Services, Inc. I have lived here in the Sioux Falls area for over 28 years and married to my wife Cindy for over 25 years.

I completed my bachelor’s degree from Dakota State University in Information Systems in 1987. I completed my Masters Degree in Guidance and Counseling in 1993 from South Dakota State University.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor - Mental Health in the State of South Dakota. My professional practice is centered on Adlerian Theory. This approach allows me to work in union with the client to attain cognitive and behavioral changes that fit each client’s personal needs. The majority of my practice is centered on troubled children, adolescents, and their families.

I provide family, group, couples, individual and play therapy services. I have been providing services to the hearing impaired for over 30 years. I have been trained to assist people in addressing the following issues: anxiety, depression family or origin, anger management, abuse issues, marriage issues, ADHD, conflict resolution for troubled youth, mediation services, and home studies.

Inner strength based on faith is my personal theme. This healing journey will be experienced with the client and is an experience that effects both professional and client. These changes will allow interventions to impact the client’s ability to grow gracefully through the life span.

I am also available for community outreach services, seminars, public speaking, and behavior management training.
